Last month Disney On Ice was at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester. Never even occurred to me to get tickets until the day it started. Then Meisee started hearing that every kid we knew was going and wanted to know if we were. Ummm, no, sorry….Thankfully, Jess swooped in and saved the day by inviting us to go today with her and Bea in Boston. Phew. So, we went down last night for a sleep over and skipped school today to go to the show. Really, what more could a kid want?
We decided to take the train into the city as all the kids love the train. We did a little early lunch/snack at Au Bon Pain and then headed to the TD Bank Garden. I think we all know by now that going into a enormous arena with a bagillion kids to watch a Disney event basically makes my skin crawl. Perhaps that’s why I never bought tickets in Manchester. It was a great show and the kids loved it so it was worth it. By the end Jess and I were really all set and the kids were tired. We made it back on the train with no meltdowns so I’d say we were successful!
Forgive me, I’m still on my Instagram bender.

Waiting for the show to start and for Aunt Jess to get the cotton candy. As you can see, we had great seats! Thanks Jess!

A viking and a princess stuffing their faces. Not sure what I did to Bea's eyes here. I assure you she's not possessed.
We were all quite tired for the drive home. We opted to stop at San’s 99 for and early dinner and then he drove the kids home. Could not be happier to have Jess here and to be able to share fun stuff like this with our families. The kids get along great and I look forward to all the years of fun we have ahead of us.

Ah, great pictures and great summary! We had a blast and I actually have to admit that it wasn’t as tortuous as expected. My grandmother was right – seeing your children so happy is worth every minute. The icing on the cake was Beatrice going to bed without a peep at 6:20 tonight
